I love zucchini recipes especially if you happen to have them fresh from your garden this summer! I made this green smoothie in hopes of finding a similar taste as zucchini bread without the flour for a healthier treat to help satisfy my craving! Plus we always need more ways to use this wonderful squash.

If your looking for a nutritious smoothies free of protein powder give this green drink a try. It is packed with vegetables and seeds for a natural protein source. While I do use protein powders sometimes it's nice to include natural sources of protein.
Hemps seeds add some protein to this smoothie, with 20 amino acids. Out of those 20 amino acids there are 9 essential amino acids that the body cannot produce. Along with phytonutrients, vitamin E and Omega-3 and Omega-6.

Directions to make this quick and simple nutritious treat!
Start by cutting off both ends of the zucchini and dice to fit into your blender (smaller pieces if you don't have a high powered blender). Next combine hemp and pumpkin seeds, diced zucchini and milk into a blender. Blend ingredients until smooth.
Mix in remaining ingredients (lightly chopping Kale or pull apart with your hands before placing into the blender) and blend until smooth.
If desired add noted optional ingredients into the blender and pulse until smooth!
