This type of burger can be made using vegetables, vegetable proteins like soy, legumes (beans), nuts, mushrooms, grains /seeds like wheat or flax. Additionally you can use a variation of flavors to keep your taste buds happy.
This meal can be served with a burger bun or with your choice of lettuce, kale, spinach or greens of your choice. Simply top with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
Start by draining and rinsing the beans (place into a strainer and rinse well).
Next place the rinsed beans into a blender along with seasonings (try blending half of a can at a time, unless you have a strong blender or are using a food processor), pulse until smooth and creamy.
Add blended beans into a medium sized mixing bowl along with vinegar, diced green chilies and kale.
Mix well then slowly add in Quinoa flakes, stir until mixture forms into a dough.
Heat a large skillet on medium high heat and lightly coat with olive oil.
Press mixture into medium sized patties and place on skillet. Cook for 5-10 minutes on each side until crispy.
