I'm always looking for new shake recipes! I love shakes and smoothies as they are a fast an easy way to add more healthy recipes to your day!
The great thing is you don't have to do a lot of prep work and you don't have to use protein powders. I quite often will have a protein shake in the morning as it is a quick way to start my day before heading off to work or a morning work out.

This delectable and creamy smoothie is packed with protein, fiber, potassium, vitamins and minerals! You can also add greens to this recipe for added nutrition!
Start by roasting the dry acorn squash seeds (I used seeds from my stuffed acorn squash recipe that I enjoyed the other night). Place dry seeds on a baking sheet in a 400 pre-heated oven lightly coated with oil. Bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
Allow seeds to cool then place in a blender with milk, blend for 1-2 minutes until seeds are well dissolved.
Combine remain ingredients into blended seed mixture and blend until smooth.
Pour into a glass and lightly sprinkle with cinnamon. Enjoy immediately or place a lid on it and save it for a quick snack later!
