I don’t personally have food allergies however my life has been dramatically affected by my nephew who does.
My nephew was a healthy baby boy born in 2010, he started getting a red patch of eczema on his face at 3 months of age which would come and go.
By 6 months he had eczema all over his face.

Within a few minutes of barely eating the cake he had an anaphylactic reaction, his lips started to swell, landing us in the emergency room on his first birthday.
It was a terrifying and horrible experience!
About a week later we were able to get him into the hospital for his first Allergy Food Test, an IGE, which tested for 15 foods.
