Using Mango Sausage

Looking for quick and easy chicken recipes! Try this delicious spicy chicken recipe using mango sausage and a mango chutney sauce.

I like aidells sausages however make sure to check the package for ingredients, there are a few different flavors they offer that contain a few of the most common food allergies, or use your favorite sausage.

I bought my mango chutney in a jar from the store however you can also make your own.

Another way to make this recipe a little quicker is using leftover potatoes from the prior night’s dinner or boil ahead of time and place in the fridge.

Mango Sausage Easy Chicken Recipe

Ingredients for This Spicy Mango Chicken Recipe:

  • 1 Medium Yam
  • 1 Medium Sweet Potato
  • 1 Pkg (4 pk) Aidell’s Mango Sausage (check package for allergens)
  • 1 Cup Fresh or Frozen Diced Mango
  • ¼ Cup Mango Chutney
  • 1 Cup Chicken Stock
  • 2 Tsp Minced Onion
  • ¼ Tsp Black Pepper, Ground Ginger
  • 1/8 Tsp All Spice, Cinnamon
  • Pinch of Cayenne Pepper, Salt
  • 1 Tsp Rice Vinegar

Start by boiling a medium sized pot with water. Peel and cube the yam and sweet potato, place in boiling water and allow to cook until mostly done (approx.. 15 to 20 mins)

Open the package of sausages and dice into small cubes. Add the sausage to a large skillet pan and place on medium high heat. Cook the sausages for about 5 minutes until lightly golden, stirring occasionally.

Once ready add the cooked yam and sweet potato to the chicken sausage. Add the remaining ingredients and stir until well combined.

Allow mixture to cook for 10 to 15 minutes on medium low heat.
