Candy Cane Recipes

Nothing says the holidays have arrived like candy cane recipes! One of my personal favorites is candy canes and chocolate, so why not combine the two to make this delicious dessert recipe!!

No big surprise there, since I love chocolate with almost everything!

Candy Cane Recipes! Delicious holiday recipes!

This recipe is great because it is quick, easy, and yummy. These candies can be whipped up and taken to a holiday party or just to have around the house.

Candy Cane Chocolate Holiday Recipes Ingredients:

  • 4 Whole Safe Candy Canes (I like Spangler as they do not use any of the top 8 allergens in their candy)
  • 1 Cup Safe Chocolate Chips of your choice (I used Enjoy Life mini chocolate chips)

Unwrap four candy canes and place them in a freezer bag.Seal the bag, and using something hard, such as, a meat mallet, rolling pin, or the bottom of a bowl or mug, crush the candy canes until the desired size is reached.

I like to leave a few bigger chunks, but not too big as these candies are supposed to be bite sized.

Now I used mini cupcake cups to form my candies. Simply place the paper cups into a mini muffin tin. You could also try using a candy mold if you prefer.

Next place the chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl. Microwave the chocolate chips for two minutes stirring at 30 second intervals.

After two minutes the not all of the chips will be melted, but stir continuously until the chocolate is smooth. If needed microwave for an additional 20 seconds, but watch the chocolate closely.

Quickly add the crushed candy canes to the melted chocolate and combine.

Begin to spoon the mixture into each cup. I didn’t fill each cup to the top because I wanted the candies to be little bites, maybe about a teaspoon size scoop for each cup.

This gave me about 24 candies. Once all of the cups are filled place them in the fridge until firm, this takes about 20 minutes.

Remove and enjoy!
