Peach Smoothie Recipe

This peach smoothie recipe is absolutely delicious and it's the perfect way to use of those ripe peaches you have lying in your kitchen or a good reason to go buy some! 

I love smoothies, they are a versatile treat whether you are craving something sweet, looking for a healthy dessert recipe or a way to pack more nutrients into your morning breakfast routine. With a few small adjustments you can adjust a smoothie for a great meal or snack anytime during the day.

Peach Smoothie Recipe with Chia Seeds!

Quite often I start my day by drinking a protein shake, usually before I go instruct my classes in the morning to help keep me energized.

However when I have time I love create new smoothies. I'll sometimes make one the night before when I know I have a busy day ahead of me so that I can start my day off with some great nutrients and fuel to get me through the day!

I used frozen peaches for this recipe however the fresher the better and you can always peel a fresh piece of fruit and toss it into the freezer so it'll be ready to make a frosty treat, in fact that is what I did with the banana for this recipe.

For added convenience, I try to be prepared by having frozen bananas and fruit in the freezer (make sure to peel the banana before placing in freezer, makes it a lot easier to use).  I enjoy using frozen fruit as it gives you a frosty treat without having to add in any ice.

Have you tried adding avocado to your smoothie recipes yet? Adding avocado gives your smoothie a creamy texture (similar to adding yogurt) and it doesn't change the flavor.

Best of all by adding an avocado to this delicious drink recipe you are also boosting your nutrients including; potassium, folate, carotenoids, vitamin B6, C, E, protein and fiber. 

Peach Smoothie Recipe Ingredients

  • 1 Frozen Ripe Banana (Peel removed)
  • 1 Frozen Ripe Peach (skin and seed removed)
  • 2 TBSP To 1/4 Cup Ripe Avocado
  • 1 TBSP Chia Seeds
  • 1 Slice Fresh Ginger (Skin Removed, about the size of 1 to 2 quarters - or more  if desired)
  • 2 Cups Vanilla Hemp Seed Milk (or dairy free milk of your choice)
  • 1 Cup Water

Place all ingredients into the blender and pulse until smooth. If a thinner consistency is desired, add more water.

I enjoyed this treat without any added sugar, and the fresher the banana an peach the more flavor your drink will be.
